Billy Sahlinger is a 2012 2B/RHP with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Bellevue, WA who attends Newport. Sahlinger has a well built frame with strength throughout. Moves well on the infield, hands and feet work, circles the ball, good defensive fundamentals and tools showed well in game play. Good look and presence on the mound, fills up the zone with strikes, mixing in a good 11-5 curveball with good spin. The curveball is a strikeout pitch and he sets it up well by getting ahead in the count locating his fastball for strikes early on both sides of the plate. Offensively, straight away stance with flex in his knees, good swing plane, short and through the zone. Stays back and is balanced throughout, contact to all fields. Excellent student.
