Chris Ellis is a 2011 RHP/IF with a 6-4 192 lb. frame from Birmingham, AL who attends Spain Park HS. Nice projectable pitcher's build, some present strength. Standard turn and throw delivery, short stride, lands tall and closed, some effort on release, quick arm circle, over the top release point. Upper 80's fastball, touched 90 mph, mostly straight, curveball flashed good spin and bite once he found a rhythm. Good arm, should get better yet. Good student, verbal commitment to Mississippi.
