Michael Abreu is a 2012 SS/OF with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Key West, FL who attends Key West HS. Slender athletic build, room to get stronger. Quick twitch athletic actions, 6.54 runner. Very good arm strength with carry, compact quick release, quick to the ball, will have to work on softening hands in the infield. Has the tools to be a very good centerfielder, strong arm with on line carry, quick actions, good at the ball and has the speed to get there. Right handed hitter, bent knee stance, short rotational swing, has some bat quickness, line drive plane, good barrel to all fields, can improve hand strength. Tools to play in the middle of the field and hit at the top of an order. Good student.
