Cal Tashiro is a 2009 SS/OF/P from Kaiser High School in Honolulu, HI, with a 5’10’’/150 pound frame. Slender build, live athletic body. Attacks at the plate showing good bat speed, upright stance, flat path through zone, swing produces hard line drive contact to the middle of the field, good plate coverage, hit well in games, hustles out of box, bunt for 1B in game. Good foot work at SS position, showed good range with quick first step, accurate throws. Good presence on mound, commands well, has an idea, changes speeds effectively with good CB, recoil finish.
