Rogers is an "04" RHP who is also one of the best in the nation. At 6'2/200 he is solidly built and he's an excellent athlete. In fact, he's probably the best hitter in Maine. In Wareham he threw 93 out of the wind up and slowed down to 92 out of the stretch. We've seen him in the middle 90s before. His breaking ball is filthy in the mid to better 70s. We've seen it in the 80s. He also has a good feel for the change up which he threw around 83 mph. He seems to have a bit more effort than Rainville and Gale, but he's in the same category. He has that "no fear" mentality that all the great ones possess. If there's a game, he'll probably be there, is the impression we got. We got that same impression from Scott Kazmir. Mark is going to create a lot of trips north to Maine next spring.
