Zalopany is an angular 6-4, 210 lb. corner infielder and left handed hitter who can really put a jolt into the ball. He doesn’t have a pretty fundamental swing like many left handed hitters but he lets everything fly and generates impressive leverage and torque to his swing. Zalopany looks like the kind of hitter who a pitcher can work over if he’s spotting the ball well but the minute he makes a mistake, the ball’s over the outfielder’s head (like 2 of his hits in Fort Myers). Zalopany has soft hands at third base and enough arm strength to play the position at the next level, although a bit more lower body quickness would benefit him. Leonard should get some serious draft interest and he has committed to Hawaii.
