LATEST PG SHOWCASE REPORT
2004 National Underclass Dec 28-30
Dickinson is a 2006 right handed pitcher from Michigan with a medium frame, sloping shoulders and projectable body. He threw 3 innings in Fort Myers, showing a long arm action and ¾’s release point that he had trouble repeating consistently. Dickinson showed some arm strength, topping out at 82 mph. His breaking ball was 68-70 mph and had good spin and rotation at times, although he tended to get under this pitch and leave it flat. With better downward angle it could be a good pitch. Dickinson works quickly and seems to have an idea on how to pitch. Tightening up his delivery and consistency will help his overall stuff and he should continue to add velocity as he adds strength. Dickinson also showed some bat speed in batting practice and in games and a pretty decent swing. He should be followed as a hitter as well, especially if he starts filling out his body. Dickinson is a very good student as well.
