Louis Boyd is a 2012 MIF with a 5'9'', 150 lb. frame from North Vancouver, BC who attends Sutherland Secondary. Young player, good athleticism with bounce in his step, confident approach to game. Sound defensively, hands and feet work well, moves well to both sides and shows range, makes plays, soft hands, quick transfer and release, throws on target to 1B. Showed well in BP as well, keeps his swing short and lets his hands work to the ball, hits from open stance, shows good extension and batspeed. Boyd is a gamer and will be a player to follow for the next couple years. Very good student.
