2004 Northeast Undergrad Showcase
Joshua McLaughlin is a 2006 third baseman from Middleboro, MA, with a 5'8", 175 pound frame. He hits from a controlled, balanced stance with a small load and a short stride. McLaughlin has a controlled, aggressive swing, with a big finish and power potential. Despite his aggressive swing, his head stays on the ball well. He had some hard hit balls in showcase games, including a shot to the LCF gap. Defensively, he was solid at 3B with good actions. He’s an all out hustle player with good baseball instincts. Joshua is a good student.
