Joshua is a 2005 grad from Highland High School on the Palmdale California area and stands 5'9" 200 pounds with good present strength and maturity. He shows you good skills at the plate, gathers his hands well with good timing and has good rhythm towards contact. He's the type of hitter who can hit in the middle of the lineup, make consistent hard contact and produce some runs. Joshua really attacks the baseball and doesn't let a fastball get by him. Defensively, he handles himself well around first base but could be handicapped by his lack of mobility. On the mound Joshua shows a balance delivery with a 78-80 mph fastball that he was able to throw for strikes and maintain velocity. His curve has some depth and good spin and is a good pitch at the present level. Joshua has the raw ability to hit or pitch for a good college. He is a good student.
