2004 Underclass National Showcase
Joshua Hardy -- Hardy is a very lean and slender sophomore outfielder from Florida with a young face and features. He surprised us a bit with his ability to swing the wood bat at his age and build. Hardy looked confident and comfortable doing it. Hardy has an upright stance with a nice balanced stride and a level swing. The balance, fundamentals and swing plane mean that Hardy is going to make consistent contact and he did just that in batting practice and in games. Strength equals bat speed and that’s what Hardy needs to work on now. His running speed is going to improve with age and Hardy showed good arm strength from the outfield for a young player.
