Josh Tolan is a 2007 MIF from Highland Park, Illinois, with a lean build at 5'8", 140 pounds. He is a switch hitter with more left handed power, and a more opposite field approach from the right side. He has a quiet, balanced swing from the right side. He has good bat speed, and excellent bat control from both sides. He hit line drives to all fields with good power from the left. He is a smart base runner with good instincts. Defensively, he has good actions with soft, sure hands and good footwork. Josh has a good feel for the game, and with some gains in overall strength and speed, he will play at a high level of college ball.
