Preston Koroll is a 2029 RHP/C/OF with a 5-10 150 lb. frame from Newmarket, ON who attends Newmarket. Medium high-waisted young athletic build with lots of physical projection remaining. Works exclusively from the stretch with a coiled belt high leg raise over the rubber and a short stride out front, high 3/4's arm slot that gives him some downhill plane to the plate, repeated his mechanics well once he got settled in. Fastball topped out at 81 mph with some run and sink. Created lots of spin on a soft curveball that he landed well for strikes, can improve the power on this pitch but the spin and shape are there. Nice projection on the mound. Worked out behind the plate and as an outfielder as well, throws from a low 3/4's arm slot from both positions, has some raw arm strength but still developing his actions as a position player. 3.99 runner in the thirty. Right handed hitter, sets up in a straight and balanced stance, sinks into his back side to start his swing and has a short uphill swing with a high finish out front, flashed some hand speed and ability to lift. Excellent student.
