2004 West Coast Top Prospect Showcase
Joey is a 2005 grad from Patrick Henry High School in the San Diego area. He has a medium frame and lively athletic build with room for added strength. He's a high energy middle infielder with sure hands and good actions around the bag. He has the ability to turn the double play. His arm strength profiles him to second base in college. At the plate, Joey is a contact type hitter with good bat control and aggressiveness early in the count. He will hit the ball to all fields. He should be able to do all the little things, hit behind runners, get on base and create runs. Joey is a good middle infielder that should have success now and compete very well at the next level.
