Joey Gerig is 2005 left handed pitcher/outfielder from Thousand Oaks, California, with a solid frame and mature build. He is a flexible kid that knows how to play the game. He hits from a solid base with some rhythm and raw power to all fields. He looks to be a middle of the order bat at the next level. On the mound, he is a crafty left handed pitcher with a good feel for the strike zone, and the ability to get all of his pitches over and miss bats. Gerig hides the ball well, and shows deception with a sneaky fastball. Gerig's curveball is his out pitch, and he had a great demeanor on the mound. Joey is a good student.
