Keegan Cavanaugh is a 2029 OF/RHP/IF with a 5-9 140 lb. frame from Wisconsin Rapids, WI who attends Assumption. Slender young athletic build with lots of time and room to get stronger. Left handed hitter, sets up in a straight stance with a shoulder high hand set, has a quick hands drive swing, good line drive path through the zone, works the middle of the field with consistent solid line drive contact, more power there as he matures and gets stronger. 7.21 runner in the sixty. Primary outfielder on defense, fields the ball out front and carries momentum into his throws, gets downhill well, has good arm strength for his age with some carry on his throws. Also worked out in the infield, still developing his fundamentals and actions here, much more polished in the outfield. Took a turn on the mound, works from a side step delivery with a multi-piece arm action and 3/4's arm slot. Fastball was in the upper 70's and was mostly straight. Curveball showed some sweeping break in the mid-60's with depth, threw strikes with both pitches and was effective. Very good student.
