Defensively, at third base, Zoey makes solid, accurate throws across the diamond with dependable arm strength. She reads the ball well off the bat ad is continuing to improve her reaction time and consistency on hard hit balls.
Behind the plate, she has good mobility and receives the ball well. She demonstrates a solid glove and framing skills. One area of development will be her blocking and keeping the ball in front of her, but she has a huge upside behind the plate. She also shows good arm strength and a good transfer on throws.
Offensively, Gutierrez is a right-handed hitter who has good size and build and a powerful swing. She has solid power potential, as long as she continues to develop her swing path and barrel awareness. She has a solid foundation and has a balanced swing.
Overall, Zoey is a young and emerging athlete who has a solid foundation mechanically and just needs to refine her skills to bring them to an elite level. She will be very fun to watch develop as she has some great tools already.
