Defensively, Thorstenson is short stop who demonstrated smooth transfers and plus range. Her ability to field the ball up the middle while on the run and make accurate throws to first base was most impressive. She has great mechanics with her footwork and a strong arm. All things you need to anchor your infield.
Offensively, Adalyn is a right-handed hitter who is an athletic middle infielder. She stayed balanced throughout her swing. With good tilt and turn, she produced solid contact and line drives gap to gap. She does a great job getting her barrel behind the ball, rather than around it. She has a strong hand position at contact and hits her extension well. She is a dynamic hitter with good speed on the bases. She is one to watch for sure.
