LJ Dragoo is a 2028 C/MIF/OF with a 6-1 155 lb. frame from Versailles, KY who attends Woodford County. Long, lean athlete with the frame to add mass and overall strength in the coming months. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.52 seconds. Primary position catcher, working from a higher initial stance, getting to release efficiently with a longer arm path overall. Clean transition allowing for strong and accurate feeds down to second. Ripping throws that were up to 77 mph with a pop-time best 1.90 seconds. Comprehensive skillset behind the dish. Reps in the field as well showing good hop in his step to getting to the ball with good angles and emerging overall glove feel. Strong arm with a full path peaking at 83 mph on throws back to the infield. RHH working from an upright stance, using small leg lift to get moving and tight hands as he loads. Natural bat speed with planed swing and controlled feel as he gets extended through impact. Strength in hands that projects power down the line and showed best line drive impact when in the middle of the field. Athletic backstop who is an outstanding student as well.
