Josh Ramos is a 2028 OF/RHP/1B with a 6-2 190 lb. frame from Frankfort, IL who attends Providence Catholic. Big and physical build with lots of lean present strength and more to come. 7.67 runner in the sixty. Primary outfielder on defense, long-limbed mover with a higher waist and developing fundamental footwork; fields out front and stays close to the body, showing average feel and actions with a slower transfer, and an uphill throwing path with developing arm strength and average accuracy. Right-handed hitter with a spread, even setup and high hand load, using a toe-tap trigger and quick hands to create bat speed and barrel whip; shows strength at impact with loud swings and a gap-to-gap approach, driving the ball hard to the back of the cage and on a line with a connected move and slight uphill path. On the mound, works from the stretch with drop-and-drive mechanics and a longer arm action through a ¾ slot; fastball showed 75-78 with some angle and life in the lower half of the zone, mixing a curveball with average shape and depth and a changeup with some depth while throwing strikes and getting a bit of swing-and-miss. Good student.
