Duncan Stevens is a 2027 C/IF with a 5-9 190 lb. frame from Georgetown, KY who attends Scott County. Medium frame with a strong, sturdy build and the kind of athleticism that serves him well overall. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.50 seconds. Primary position catcher, working comfortably from a one-knee down stance and getting out of the crouch effectively in transition. Consistent with the glove, repeating clean transfer and developing accurate feeds on the bag. Strong arm with throws up to 73 mph and a pop-time best 2.01 seconds. Full compliment of tool here with the look of a true backstop. RHH working from a slightly open stance, high handset and high back elbow to start. Short knee lift trigger for timing and loose hands delivering the barrel with solid strength at impact. When on time and in the middle of the field we saw his best impact with gap to gap power. Elite student who has the look and skillset to be an offensive catcher longterm.
