Defensively, Forseen, working at the catching position, did an excellent job of staying low when coming out from behind the plate to field the bunt. Once getting around the ball, she was able to make accurate throws. She demonstrated great mechanics on her throw downs but needs to continue to develop her arm strength.
Behind the plate she sets up on a knee with no runners on base, and does a good job of working her glove from the ground up, but occasionally lets it get into her body. She does a good job with balls in the dirt and gives pitchers a nice target/location to pitch to.
Offensively, Laney is a right-handed hitter with an athletic stance. She uses lower half well, hitting against a firm front side, and showed good bat speed. The basics are in place for this young lady to develop into a real offensive threat over the next few years.
