Maximus Krause is a 2028 3B/RHP with a 5-11 180 lb. frame from Byron, MN who attends Byron. Medium build with lots of strength in his lower half. Right handed hitter, sets up in a medium base with a high back elbow load and a short stride into contact, well-timed swing that he repeats well, turns his lower half well to drive his bat speed, accurate barrel with lots of solid mid-field contact, has rhythm and a feel to hit, more bat speed to come as he gets stronger. 8.07 runner in the sixty. Primary third baseman on defense, step by step actions laterally, bends his knees fielding and showed some glove softness, quick exchanges into his throws and made accurate throws, will make the routine play well. Took a turn on the mound, works from a full wind up with a compact arm action and high 3/4's arm slot, high leg raise with some coil, medium stride down the mound. Fastball topped out at 78 mph with good life. Also threw a slurve type breaking ball with some depth. Change up had some tumble and was located well down in the zone. Knows how to mix and match and throw strikes. Good student. Named to the PG Minnesota Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.
