Malachi Perez is a 2025 OF/RHP with a 5-8 160 lb. frame from Cupertino, CA who attends Cupertino. Primary outfielder with a medium frame and build. Ran a 7.39 second sixty. Works to the ball in the outfield with intent carrying the momentum into the throws with game-like actions. Full smooth arm action creates average carry on the ball flight with accuracy to the bases. Worked from the stretch only on the mound with a higher leg lift and full arm circle to a high three-quarters arm slot. Hold the line well through the delivery leaking a bit at times at the release point with the fastball sitting in the mid 70’s. Curveball with two plane shape gives hitters a different look off the fastball as the primary off speed. Right handed hitter starts with a narrow slightly open base. Showed flashes of strength at the point of contact creating some hard linear contact using the opposite field. Good student.
