2026 PG Canadian National Showcases Qualifier (Friday)
Hunter Bartha is a 2028 SS/RHP with a 6-1 180 lb. frame from Beamsville, ON who attends West Niagara Secondary School. Tall, broad-shouldered build with good present strength and lots of physical projection remaining. Primary shortstop, moved well at the position with feel for creating angles and staying behind the ball. Moved well laterally for his size with some quickness in the step. Made smooth funnels and accurate throws up to 84 mph across the diamond. Right handed hitter, starts in a wide, bent-knee stance with a flatter hand set-up. Utilizes a small stride for timing before working into an uphill bat path. Has lots of hand speed with great feel for creating lift at the point of contact. Put together a very loud round of batting practice. Posted an exit velocity of 86 mph. Excellent student. Named to the PG Canadian National Showcases Qualifier (Friday) Top Prospect List.
