Defensively, Sanger is a highly vocal catcher who provides strong leadership behind the plate. She shows excellent footwork and body control when fielding bunts, consistently getting around the ball, securing it barehanded, and delivering strong, accurate throws to first. On throw downs, Sanger demonstrates a quick transfer, efficient mechanics, and the ability to generate power through her body, resulting in precise and on-target throws.
Behind the plate she utilizes a conventional set-up, strong glove work with presenting a target for the selected pitch and location. Nice movement on balls in the dirt and does a great job corralling the ball back towards the plate with effective body angling. She also had nice communication with her pitchers.
Offensively, Kenley is a right-handed hitter who stays balanced at the plate. She was barrelling up pitches with a great approach, producing quality line drives off the bat. She takes an efficient hand path to the ball and has all the tools to compete at the next level.
