Anthony Romano is a 2008 C/1B with a 5'7'', 200 lb. frame from River Edge, NJ who attends River Dell HS. He has a thick, short frame and is in need of conditioning. Romano is a good looking young hitter. He has a fluid, loose swing with some bat speed and good extension and balance through the ball. Romano attacks pitches aggressively and showed power to the gaps. He has an idea how to hit and we imagine that he is a pretty successful hitter at the high school level. Defensively, Romano has good arm strength and had a 73 mph throw velocity with a best pop time of 2.17 during drills. With his build and weight quickness and flexibility is going to be an issue on defense and is the main reason he will need to slim down. The bat is his tool.
