Aaron Whitehead is a 2010 OF/IF with a 5'7'', 152 lb. frame from Virginia Beach, VA who attends Ocean Lakes HS. He has a smaller frame with some present strength and body life. Whitehead is a 7.14 runner with a very quick first step and was 4.19 down to first base from the right side. He is a quick twitch athlete who shows some bat speed and hand strength. Whitehead has a smooth, fundamentally sound swing but was a bit grooved in games and didn't make adjustments to pitch location and off speed pitches. The ball came off the bat well, though, and there are hitting tools to work with. Defensively, Whitehead is limited to left field by his arm strength, but his speed should give him good range. He is a very good student.
