Connor Yert is a 2029 1B/RHP/3B with a 6-1 180 lb. frame from Birmingham, MI who attends Brother Rice. Long limbed build with good strength for his age and lots of physical projection remaining. Left handed hitter, sets up in a balanced and slightly open crouched stance, short leg raise timer and stride into his swing, upper body swing and tends to get early with his front side, looking to get the ball in the air and launch the ball, has some strength off the barrel, smooth lefty uppercut swing approach with lots of projection remaining. 7.66 runner in the sixty. Primary first baseman on defense, gets his glove down on time and fields cleanly with two hands, good pivots and throws to second, pretty fluid overall actions. Also pitched, works exclusively from the stretch with a medium length arm action. Fastball was in the upper 70's and topped out at 80 mph and was mostly straight. Still developing feel for a curveball and change up. Good student.
