Ian Adams is a 2028 RHP/1B/3B with a 6-4 215 lb. frame from Wayzata, MN who attends Orono. Extra big and strong build. Works from a side step start with a belt high leg raise and a small coil at the top, medium length stride down the mound, longer arm action with a 3/4's release point. Fastball topped out at 88 mph with some run and sink, worked inside comfortably with his fastball and the ball got on hitter's quickly and played up. Threw a mid-70's curveball with 11/5 shape and some depth, also mixed in a cutting change up. 8.32 runner in the sixty. Secondary corner infielder on defense, worked out as a third baseman, arm plays well but still developing his lateral actions, tends to play upright, likely better off at first base moving forward. Right handed hitter, sets up in a spread stance with a drifting shift to his front side, deep hand load, gets the barrel out front and makes pull side contact with the ability to create some back spin. Good student. Named to the PG Minnesota Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.
