Braden Lawton is a 2028 SS/RHP, 2B, MIF, OF with a 5-7 130 lb. frame from Columbia, SC who attends Spring Valley. Compact build with a good amount of room to continue adding strength onto the frame. Good runner, ran a 6.92 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, quick footwork and takes good angles to ground balls, two hand funnel out front, quick exchanges and gets the ball out quick with good internal clock. Solid arm strength across the diamond, recorded accurate throws up to 79 mph. Right-handed hitter, wide base with high back elbow in the stance, simple swing with a tight turn into contact and has solid bat speed. Contact oriented approach with ability to impact to the middle of the field regularly when in rhythm, obvious feel to hit.
