2007 Mid Atlantic Underclass Showcase
Eric (Scotty) McManis is a 2010 MIF/P with a 5'11'', 155 lb. frame from Port Saint Lucie, FL who attends Treasure Coast. Eric has a lean athletic build with some room to fill out. At the plate Eric shows some occasional line-drive contact but really needs to work on shortening his swing up some and staying inside the ball more. In the field Eric makes all the plays with a quick release and transfer to go with an accurate arm. He shows a live arm on the mound from a 3/4 arm slot with a short loose arm action. He is around the plate and shows an 10 to 4 curveball. Eric is a good student that should attract the attention of some small to mid-level college programs.
