Holden Watne is a 2007 OF with a 6'0'', 180 lb. frame from Los Angeles, CA, who attends Loyola HS. Watne has a solid frame with athleticism and strength. Defensively he moves very well in the outfield. He gets good reads off the bat that allows him to get good jumps, and he charges the ball on the ground well. Watne's throws are online and very accurate. He has advanced ability in the outfield, and he can handle all three outfield positions. At the plate he hits from an open and wide stance with a no load approach. He shows bat speed through the hitting zone, and he stays balanced through his swing. Watne is an aggressive hitter, but he does a great job tracking pitches and not chasing balls out of the zone. He has projectable power with the ability to drive the ball to all fields. He has nice hands in his swing, and he has upside to his game.
