2007 Mid Atlantic Underclass Showcase
Brandon Dransfield is a 2009 LHP/1B with a 5'10'', 210 lb. frame from Haymarket, VA who attends Battlefield. Brandon has a thick well-developed build. On the mound Brandon throws from a high 3/4 arm slot with a long arm circle that produces some armside run. He is around the plate with all of his pitches and shows feel for a 1 to 7 curveball. At the plate Brandon shows the ability to turn a pitch around easily, but must make sure he does not cut himself off in his swing. He needs to make sure gets more extension out front. At first base Brandon is quick to the ball and shows nice hands. He plays very hard and always gets after the baseball. Brandon is a player that could attract the attention of some smaller colleges.
