In the circle, Gracie is a right-handed pitcher who throws a fastball, flip change-up, roll drop, riseball, and curveball. She has a good motion mechanically and has a nice build and generates solid wrist snap. She consistently was throwing 55-57mph with her faster pitches. Her flip change sits at around 44mph and has a nice speed differential. She sells this pitch well, never slowing down her motion, which leads to great deception. Her roll drop is a great pitch, having late sharp movement down in the zone. She has great posture on this pitch, standing tall at release. Her curve-ball has the makings of a solid pitch, she has a good motion and posture. She just needs to continue to develop more 9 to 3 spin on the ball to get truer break. Her rise-ball is also a work in progress, but definitely will be a factor in the future. The spin is getting close to where it needs to be so that "jump" should be coming soon as she works to refine her spin direction. Overall Gracie is a talented pitcher who already has some amazing tools at her disposal and a huge upside for future growth. She will be one to follow in the coming seasons!
Defensively, Gracie Neal is an athletic 1B/RHP who shows good foot work around the bag when receiving throws and fielding bunts. Displayed a strong accurate arm when making throws across the field or in relay situations.
Offensively, Neal is a right-handed hitter who has a strong build and a wide, athletic stance. She fires her back side well after a nice load, generating some good barrel whip. She has a great awareness of her contact points, showing off here ability to drive the ball to all fields. She kept her barrel behind the ball well and not wrapping around the ball. She drove the ball well up the middle and has some good barrel pop as well.
