Sergio Rendon is a 2028 3B/RHP/IF with a 5-8 145 lb. frame from Goodyear, AZ who attends Millennium. Smaller young build with plenty of time to grow and get stronger. 7.93 runner in the sixty. Primary middle-infielder with a fundamentally sound defensive skill set. Displayed clean footwork, took efficient angles and showed plenty of lateral range to either side. Presented glove out in-front, showed ability to change slots and produced accurate throws up to 72 mph across the diamond. Secondary right-handed pitcher that worked efficiently down the slope with good pace and some athleticism. Fastball worked in the mid-to-upper 70s for the majority of his outing with good command to both sides of the plate. Showed exceptional feel for his breaking ball, landing it for strikes effectively and replicating arm slot. Tons of depth to 11-5 shape. Repeats delivery well, throws with conviction and projects for more velocity as he continues to physically mature. Right-handed hitter that hits from an upright, even base with a high, tight hand set and negative to-tap trigger. Whole field approach with uphill swing path. Showed some line drive impact to the pullside and will continue to improve with proper swing adjustments and additional strength.
