Latimer Auwerda is a 2027 OF/RHP, 3B with a 5-9 135 lb. frame from Middletown, DE who attends Caravel Academy. Medium, slender frame with plenty of room to add strength and fill out. Primary outfielder with aggressive approach into the fielding process. Fields out in-front off his front foot and transitions quickly into release with developing footwork. Recorded arm strength up to 83 mph during drills. Secondary right-handed pitcher that works from a full windup delivery with quick pace and shorter stride out to foot strike. Fastball worked in the upper-60s for the majority of his outing and topped out at 71 mph from a lower three-quarters arm slot. Mixed in developing breaking ball with slower, gradual sweep to it and killed the spin on his changeup effectively to create slight fade to it. Will continue to improve with proper mechanical refinements and additional velocity. Right-handed hitter that hits from a wider, open base with a tight hand set and lower hand set. Contact oriented stroke with slightly downhill swing path and developing bat-to-ball skills. Will continue to improve with more usage of his lower half and proper swing adjustments.
