Andrew Hayes is a 2012 MIF/C with a 5'6'', 130 lb. frame from Collegeville, PA who attends Malvern Prep. Andrew has a lean build with lots of time to fill out and get stronger. At the plate Andrew is a switch-hitter with a good idea of how to hit from both sides of the plate. He has a smooth level swing plane from the right side and just needs to make sure he doesn't get too long with his swing. From the left side Andrew shows good bat speed with a level plane and really has a good idea of what he is doing. In the infield Andrew has very clean actions with good footwork and a quick release. Behind the plate Andrew is a solid receiver with a good release and transfer. As his arm gets stronger he should have plenty of options all over the field. Andrew is a solid student that should attract the attention of many college programs as he gets older.
