Ethan Drew is a 2029 LHP/1B/OF with a 5-8 140 lb. frame from Hertford, NC who attends Perquimans County. Young athletic build that projects very well. Primary left-handed pitcher who is a two-way prospect due to his bat and athleticism. Has an easy low effort delivery on the mound with a compact arm action that hides the ball well, very advanced mechanics and ability to repeat for his age. Fastball sat in the upper 60's with nice southpaw run, lots of time and potential to gain velocity. Slider was a good pitch with shape and was thrown to spots on both sides of the plate. Change was also a nice pitch with arm speed and the ability to locate. Probably carves up age group hitters with command of three pitches. Switch-hitter at the plate, sets up similar both sides, keeps his hands up better left-handed and has better lower half load from that side as well, made hard line drive contact from the left side, can keep improving with adjustment from the right side. 7.96 runner in the sixty. Very good defensive actions at first base, type of athlete who would play shortstop if he was right handed, more defensive value at first base than in outfield at this point. This is going to be pretty good with time and physical maturity.
