Roman Carrington is a 2026 SS/RHP with a 6-1 190 lb. frame from Anthem, AZ who attends Desert Mountain. Primary Shortstop, featuring a longer, lean, athletic frame that projects. Moves well in the dirt, flashing quick lateral movements and a clean glove and transfer. Strong, accurate arm, (88 IF Velo), works through it and makes accurate tosses across the diamond, switching up arm slots. Up to 88 mph on the mound with a stretch only operation and an over the top arm slot. Gets on top and works downhill with a drop and drive delivery and present arm speed. Fastball has arm side run, coupled with a firm slider with late depth at 75. Sets up in the box with a medium base and a low back elbow. Starts with a toe tap trigger and stays on a level path, working the lower half and showing good hip torque. Impact on the barrel with regularity, working the gaps to both sides. Named to 2024 PG Underclass All-American Games Top Prospect List. Excellent Student.
