Melanie (Lani) Khounsourath is a 2024 SS/UT from Nevada, IA who attends Nevada. Lani is a great middle infielder who has a very smooth and athletic stance on the field. She does a great job staying low and athletic through the ball and has a good solid feel for her pocket. Does a great job moving lateral to the ball and great footwork and transition into her throw. Very strong overhand throw and keeps the ball on a line consistently. Offensively, she is a right handed hitter who generates a lot of power to the pull side of the ball. Has big power potential when she utilizes her legs consistently. Very good stand and balanced swing and did a great job making adjustments. Overall she is a very athletic player who has the potential to play at the next level.
