Jason Schulz is a 2007 RHP/1B/OF with a 6'3'', 185 lb. frame from Leawood KS, who attends Blue Valley North HS. He has a broad shouldered, projectable build. Schulz throws out of a drop and drive delivery style with a long arm action down his right leg. Schulz tends to drift way out front in his delivery and his long arm stroke leaves his arm dragging way behind and it doesn't catch up. Schulz's fastball was mostly 77-79 mph and touched 81. There is more velocity in there with some adjustments to his delivery. Schulz's curveball has a big 11/5 break at 68 mph and is a good pitch for him when he gets over it. He threw a couple of 72 mph change ups. Schulz worked low in the strike zone consistently, had good command of all his pitches and competed well. He is a good student off the field.
