Andrew Beasley is a 2008 RHP/3B/2B with a 6'1'', 170 lb. frame from Friendswood, TX who attends Friendswood. Andrew has a lean, slender frame with plenty of room to get bigger. He showed good tempo on the mound, and throws from an over the top slot with solid arm speed. His arm is a little short on the backside at times. His fastball has arm side movement, and he competes and challenges hitters. He looks to get ahead early in the count. His curveball flashes sharp, and he will throw it early in the count. Its effectiveness will increase as he continues to develop it. It got the job done during his time on the mound, but left it out over the plate a little too often. He also throws a changeup that will develop into a solid pitch. He has the ability to throw several pitches for strikes and keep hitters off balance. Andrew is also a very good student.
