Culton Thompson is a 2027 C/OF with a 5-6 150 lb. frame from Festus, MO who attends Windsor. Quick-twitch smaller athletic frame. Versatile catcher/outfielder with real projection at both spots. Quicker first step in the outfield with footwork and momentum to the baseball, fields it out front with hands working through the baseball, clean transition to throw and shows an accurate throwing arm. Real quality effort and intensity during drills. Behind the plate everything was under control and quick with real fundamental footwork and an accurate throwing arm. Recorded a 2.01 pop time. Hit from a narrow base and open stance with load stride timing at the plate. Has bat speed through the zone with a compact swing that he has in sync when he's on time at the plate. Hit well in games, highlighted by an inside-the-park home run on a line drive to the left centerfield gap. Gamer type player with a real foundation of tools to develop. Named to Central Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List. Good student.
