2007 Mid Atlantic Underclass Showcase
Chris Holmes is a 2009 C/P/1B with a 5'11'', 195 lb. frame from Woodbridge, VA who attends CD Hylton. Chris has an athletic well-developed build. At the plate Chris has an aggressive hitting approach with a line-drive swing plane and showed the ability to square up some pitches. He gets choppy at times in his swing and needs to work on smoothening out his approach some. Behind the plate Chris is accurate with his throws with good footwork, but needs to clean up his arm action some. On the mound Chris has a short arm action from a 3/4 arm slot and does a good job of making hitters put the ball in play. Chris is a solid student that could attract the attention of some smaller colleges.
