Christopher Linkous is a 2009 RHP/SS with a 5'9'', 185 lb. frame from North Garden, VA who attends Monticello HS. He has a medium to short build with a thick, strong upper half. Linkous has a simple turn and throw delivery and pushes his backside thru hard prior to release. He has a 3/4's to mid 3/4's release and pushes the ball to the plate. Linkous' fastball was 67-69 mph with some fading action at the plate. He also threw a upper 50's curveball with soft spin and a 60 mph change up. Linkous repeated his delivery well and threw strikes early in the count and made hitters swing the bat. Linkous had the same type of arm action and arm strength when playing the infield. At the plate, he used his strength well and swung the bat aggressively and hit a couple of balls hard.
