Matt Ford-Wellman is a 2024 RHP/C, 1B with a 5-10 157 lb. frame from Los Gatos, CA who attends Los Gatos. Medium build with good length that can fill out as the frame develops physically. Ran a 7.88 in the 60-yard dash. Catcher, gains ground well with a cleaner transfer. Accurate arm reaches the bag on a line. Right-handed pitcher, creates some deception through the back of a high three-quarter delivery. Shows good fell for spin with a fading changeup and late biting slider. Breaking ball has good depth and developing shape. Right-handed hitter, creates good strength out front. Showed good jump off the barrel when timed and strides well into contact. Very good student.
