Eric Bertone is a 2024 LHP/ with a 5-7 150 lb. frame from Upland, CA who attends Damien. Compact frame with good athletic traits in the build. Primary left-handed pitcher, hands start at the belt and work from a moderate leg kick into a high three-quarter delivery. Shows some deception in release and hides it, frontside stays in well. Quicker arm with a fastball that gets in on hitters with good command. Showed feel for a depthy curveball that has developing traits. Also flashed a tumbling changeup with shape. Good fundamentals and ability to mix tempos. Left-handed hitter from an even base and simple load. Direct path stayed through the middle well. More intent and strength in store as the frame matures. Very good student.
