Anthony Perez is a 2008 OF/1B/P with a 5'9'', 160 lb. frame from Delray Beach FL, who attends Atlantic. Perez has a medium sized frame with a thin lean build. Defensively, Perez is quick to the ball in the outfield and charges the ball hit on the ground well. He gets good jumps and reads on balls hit to the outfield and tracks balls well. His arm works well with developing arm strength and he has a quick release. At the plate, Perez has a tall stance and starts open. He takes a short stride to start his swing and stays open throughout his swing. Perez swings on a line drive swing path and hits the ball well to all fields. His hands work well in his swing which helps him generate bat speed. Perez pitches from a 3/4 arm slot with a short arm action. He works quick on the mound and throws lots of strikes. Perez has good mechanics and showed pitchability. He throws a 1/7 curveball down in the strike zone and throws a changeup with good arm speed.
