Eli Dreier is a 2027 RHP/3B with a 6-2 215 lb. frame from Brookfield, WI who attends Wisconsin Lutheran. Big and physical build with plenty of present strength. Works exclusively from the stretch with a belt high leg raise and a long arm circle in back, gets into his lower half well coming down the mound, has some energy into his release. Fastball was in the upper 80's and touched 90 mph with some cutting life, was consistently in the zone with his fastball. Tended to slow his arm on his secondary pitches, mid-70's curveball had some 11/5 shape and depth, also showed a straight change up at the same velocity. Might benefit from adding a power slider to his arsenal given his natural fastball cut. Right handed hitter, sets up in a narrow and open stance, upper body swing with a downhill swing plane, has bat speed and strength at contact, big jump when squared up, needs adjustments to his swing path but has hitting tools to develop. 7.24 runner in the sixty. Secondary third baseman on defense, has some bounce for his size, soft hands fielding with a quick exchange, stays well controlled, high 3/4's arm slot with some carry on his throws. Very good student. Named to the Midwest Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.
